Vogue Living Australia has just published a photo spread of Baz Luhrmann’s new epic movie, “Australia”, starring Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman. The set’s stunning décor reflects a sense of 1930s and ‘40s Hollywood glamour with a uniquely Australian theme, combining Bohemia with Aboriginal art and a delightful collection of antiques & collectables.

Glamorous Hollywood art deco interiors with an Australian flavor“It needed to be charming and substantial enough to make Sarah want to stay,” said Academy Award-winner Catherine Martin, the film’s production and costume designer.
Catherine and her team turned what was a dusty, decrepit ruin into the sophisticated bohemian outback home of Lady Sarah Ashley, played by Nicole Kidman.
