Corian® congratulates Alexander Lotersztain of Derlot Pty Ltd for being selected as the Corian® Design Award Winner for Edition 3, Commercial Category 2008. Alexander has been recognised for his outstanding design work for the Limes Hotel in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane.
Limes Hotel is a 21-room urban retreat and offers a tapas bar, coffee shop, business facilities, open air roof-top bar and cinema. Inspired by The Valley’s natural beauty, Alexander has created a stunningly majestic environment that oozes sophistication.
The design approach focused on the Hotel in its absolute entirety – considering the intended look and feel, and paying heavy attention to the interiors, furniture, surfaces and finishes, as well as extending the design influence to Limes’ music and drinks list. The Limes “facade” has been tangibly branded with the Limes logo on a grand scale, also represented on details throughout the Hotel lobby, rooms, bar and cinema.
