I should apologise for the delay in the blooming giveaway, which was due to Cyclone Ului. North Queensland was put on “critical alert” and we had no running water or phone connections and days without power. At its peak, 50,000 homes and businesses in the region were blacked out. Trees and powerlines were down all over town and there was some structural damage to our house.the winner of our beautiful bloom competition

We just got the electricity back a couple of days ago and things are getting back to normal with big piles of work that need to be done. The clean-up is continuing around the region.
